Overview
The Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts major is a program of study for students with broad interests that cross-disciplinary boundaries. Students in this major develop broad-based understandings of the human condition, study various cultures and cultural artifacts, and develop an appreciation for the variety and breadth of human knowledge. Students pursue a concentration either in the arts and humanities or in the social sciences, or some combination of the three.
Our program mission is to help students become critical thinkers, confident individuals, capable professionals, and committed citizens with a responsibility for ethical involvement in the larger human and global community.

Your academic experience will consist of courses you choose from the entire spectrum of available Social Sciences, Humanities and Art/Performance courses available in the College of Liberal Arts.
You will also be combining your interests and passions while gaining necessary skill sets, weaving both together in unexpected ways but never at the expense of your love of other things—be these writing poetry, painting an abstract or spending a little more time with your trumpet.
